and offers a beautiful view of the town and the snow-covered Himalayas .
There is an old temple with 108 ft high statue of Lord Hanuman at the top of
the hill.
Shimla State Museum
was opened in 1974 and has tried to protect cultural wealth of the state. A
collection of miniature Pahari paintings, sculptures, bronze wood-carvings,
costumes, textiles and jewellary of the region are displayed here.
Summer Hill is a
lovely township and is situated at a height of 6500 ft on the Shimla-Kalka
railway line.
Tara Devi is 11
km away from Shimla bus stand and there is a temple dedicated to the goddess of
stars on top of the hill.
Kufri is 16 km
from Shimla and is situated at the height of 8600 ft and is famous for winter
sports.
